Izmir Dsi Women

Izmir's volleyball rivalries belong to Karşıyaka, Göztepe and Altay. The team plays out of Bornova rather than the centre of the city's sporting arguments, built inside Devlet Su İşleri, the state water authority, and still carrying its green-and-white colours. That link goes back to 1985, when the club took shape inside the utility itself.

For most of its history the club had one point of reference: promotion to the Türkiye 2. Ligi in 1996, remembered as the high point of its amateur years. Three decades later it went further. Finishing top of Group A in the AXA Sigorta Women's 2. League final stage in 2026 sent DSİ Spor up to the Arabica Coffee House Women's 1. League for the first time, a step the 1996 promotion never reached.

The Voleybol Spor Okulu, the club's volleyball school, has shaped its identity as much as any senior result. By September 2023 it had 750 children enrolled across mini-volleyball and age groups up to under-18, and in 2019 its mid-girls team went through the Gelişim Ligi unbeaten to the title.

Of the names attached to the club now, the outside hitter Elisa Tuana Köse, born in March 2002, is the one most associated with it.
