Mornar

The rivalry that defines Mornar now is with Dečić of Tuzi — two clubs from different towns, with no name for the fixture. In the 2025/26 Montenegrin Cup final they met again, and Mornar won 1-0. In the same season it finished second in the First League, matching its best placing, set in 2023/24.

Before that, the honours were republican ones. Mornar took the Montenegrin championship of the Yugoslav era in 1988/89, 1994/95 and 2000/01, and in 1994/95 added the republican cup to make it a double.

The squad that produced those years passed through players who went a long way afterwards. Nikola Žigić spent 2002 at Bar and scored 15 goals in 23 matches before becoming the leading scorer in the Serbia and Montenegro championship of 2003/04 and playing at two World Cups. Srđan Radonić was there from 2000 to 2002, 19 goals in 27 games. Mitar Novaković started at the club in 1998 and later came back to it as sporting director.

Home is Stadion Topolica, which holds 2,500. The colours are blue and white, and the nickname — Mornari, the Sailors — comes from the same place the club's name does.

The name arrived late, in 1949, after Tempo was banned for poor qualifying results. Before it came Jadran, Obnova and Tempo itself, in the years after 1945, and before all of them JSK Crnojević, formed in December 1923 when two local sides, Četnik and Željezničar, merged. Money was thin from early on: the team played almost no official matches through 1934 and 1935, was thrown out of the league, and came back in 1936. It went under again at the end of 1960, and stayed gone until former players — among them Danilo Delibašić and Anto Radović — brought it back in 1963 under the name it still carries.
