Primorochka Women

The Olympiets Sports Complex on Batareinaya Street holds only 1,100 people, a modest arena for a club that had grown out of the regional programme launched by the Primorsky Krai administration in 2007 under the name Volleyball-Primorye. That original project needed five years to find its shape: the team took the name Primorochka only in 2012, on the eve of its first season in the Higher League "A", and the switch came with a new identity for the fans — the Primorye Tigers.

The early results justified the rebuilding. Primorochka won the Far East regional championship in its debut year and followed it with the Higher League "B" title the next season, results that pushed the club up into the top domestic tier. It never won that tier outright, but it came close twice, taking silver in the Higher League "A" in 2016–2017 and again in 2017–2018, with a bronze finish in 2018–2019 rounding out its strongest stretch.

Alexander Statsenko coached the team through those silver seasons, having succeeded Sergey Burkina and Artem Borisenko in the years before. Vladivostok's distance from the rest of the volleyball map gave the club its sharpest rivalry close to home: matches against Sakhalin, played out as the Far East Derby, carried a weight that fixtures against Moscow or Kazan clubs never quite matched.

The club's academy sent players in different directions — Yana Kiseleva stayed indoors, while Daria Rudykh moved into beach volleyball — a reminder that Primorochka's contribution to the sport in the region ran wider than its own results. That contribution ended in 2023, when the club stopped competing and Dynamo Vladivostok took its place in the league. Fourteen years after Volleyball-Primorye first took the court, the Tigers' history closed at 1,100 seats.
