Lyubov Sokolova came to Anapa with two world titles and a European championship already behind her, and now signs off on the club's business as general director rather than from the court. Igor Kurnosov took over as head coach in 2025. Captain Anna Uknovichus runs the offence from setter, while Anastasia Shupenova, who arrived after spells at Zarechye-Odintsovo and Uralochka-NTMK, gives the attack its edge on the opposite side.

The club exists on paper only since April 2022, when its legal entity was registered, and it took the court for the first time that September, in the Russian Cup. Blue and light blue mark the shirts, a nod to Dynamo tradition carried south to the Black Sea. By the 2024/2025 season the team had reached the Higher League "A" of the Russian Championship and finished third, taking bronze.

Anapa also houses the Volleyball Academy of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation, founded in 2019 to feed young players through to the country's leading clubs, so the first team shares its home with the pipeline meant to eventually supply it. The nearest thing to a rivalry runs along the Dynamo name itself: matches against Dinamo Krasnodar carry the weight of a regional derby, even without a name of their own.
