Valadares Gaia Women

The Complexo Desportivo Valadares holds 750 people. The women play there while the training ground, the Estádio Municipal da Lavandeira, is made available with backing from the Vila Nova de Gaia council.

The women's team followed a year later, one of the earliest in the Porto district, and yellow and navy blue have stayed the club's colours since.

The women's biggest night came in the 2015–16 Supertaça de Portugal de Futebol Feminino, where they beat Benfica 1–0. Three Taça de Portugal finals followed — 2013, 2016 and 2019 — and Valadares Gaia lost all three, twice to Benfica and once to Boavista.

Zé Nando has coached the first team since 2023, overseeing a squad drawn from a youth structure of around 160 to 170 players.

A fourth-place finish in the Campeonato Nacional Feminino in 2025–26, alongside a run to the Taça da Liga final against Torreense, marks the club's push to close the gap on Benfica, Sporting and Porto.
