Kovac opened the scoring for the hosts in the third minute, but Haruna doubled the lead before Sibrian picked up a yellow card at the other end. Orlando then took a three-goal advantage inside the first half: Haruna struck again in the eighteenth minute, Sarajian turned the ball into his own net thirty-one minutes in, and Suarez added a fourth just before the break.
