On 7 March 2026, Athletic Club Boise beat Sarasota Paradise 1-0, the club's first competitive result — and the first professional football result for Boise itself, a city that had never fielded a team before.

The name and crest arrived first, unveiled by USL on 27 June 2025, eight months after the league announced the franchise on 30 October 2024. Both borrow from Athletic Bilbao, a nod to the Basque heritage present in the region.

Home matches are played at the Stadium at Expo Idaho, on the Les Bois Park site, which opened the same month as that first win and holds around 7,200 spectators, built to a design by the Boise firm Cushing Terrell.

The kit runs to specifically named shades: purples called Mountain Dusk and Lupine Bloom, a kelly green marketed as Basque Pride, black listed as Raptor Shadow, and white.

Casey Keller joined the ownership group in July 2025. Nate Miller followed that October, appointed the club's first head coach five months before the team's opening win over Sarasota Paradise.
