Dziki Warszawa

Legia have Warsaw's history; Dziki have picked a fight with it anyway. The two now play out the Derby Stolicy each season.

The club did not start from nothing. It grew out of MKS Ochota, a third-division side, when Michał Szolc took it over in 2017 and gave it a new name.

What followed was a climb rather than a slow build. The II Liga title came in 2019–20, in a season the pandemic cut short but did not erase from the record. Three years later they beat Górnik Wałbrzych 3–0 in the I Liga playoff final and went up to the top flight for the first time. They did not treat it as a season to make up the numbers: third in the regular season on debut in 2023–24, third again in 2025–26, with a European North Basketball League title added along the way.

Krzysztof Szablowski has coached them through all of it, from the lower divisions up to the PLK, and Grzegorz Grochowski wears the captaincy for a squad built as much around imports — Matt Coleman III, Rickey McGill, Janari Joesaar among them — as around Polish regulars. Home games are played in front of just under 1,300 at Hala Koło in Wola, in the grey, dark blue and white that give the away end its colour.
