Geylang International

The inaugural S.League title, in 1996, came under the name Geylang United, settled by a Championship Play-off win over SAFFC after the club had already topped the Tiger Beer Series. Fandi Ahmad shared the season's top scorer mark with 11 goals, one of them the equaliser that sealed the championship. A second title followed in 2001, and Geylang have not left the top division since the league's first season, a run stretching back to a pre-professional era in which the club won six straight FAS Premier League titles between 1988 and 1993.

The club started out in 1973 as International Contract Specialists FC, founded by Colin Ng among others, and took the field for its first league match the following year. The switch to Geylang International came in 1975, part of a Football Association of Singapore push to tie clubs to a home district rather than a sponsor's name. That geographic identity gave way, in 1996, to Geylang United for the whole of the professional era, before the club reverted to Geylang International in January 2013.

Green and white hoops have stayed the club's mark throughout the name changes, worn now at Our Tampines Hub in front of crowds capped at 5,000, after earlier years at Bedok Stadium and Jalan Besar Stadium. The Singapore Cup, won in 2009 with a 1–0 final defeat of Bangkok Glass, remains the club's most recent major trophy. Against Tampines Rovers, the Eastern Derby carries the local needle; against Balestier Khalsa, the fixture has been renewed more than 60 times since 1996 and counts among the league's longest-running rivalries.

Indra Sahdan Daud is the name most tied to the club's playing side: 66 appearances and 24 goals between 1997 and 2000, then a return for a further season in 2016.
