Hougang United

Kristijan Krajček scored three times in the 2022 Singapore Cup final, enough to see off Tampines Rovers 3–2.

The side started out in 1988 as Marine Castle United, becoming Sengkang Marine in 2002 and then Sengkang Punggol in 2006 after a merger with Paya Lebar-Punggol, before the Hougang United name was settled on in 2011. Bill Ng has chaired the club since 2009, through those years of renaming and rebuilding. Their best league placing came in 2019, third in the Singapore Premier League, the same season Faris Ramli was named the league's Player of the Year while playing for them.

Orange and black shirts gave the club its nickname, The Cheetahs, and their derby with Tampines Rovers is still called the Eastern Derby by those who follow it. Meetings with Home United, now Lion City Sailors, are known as the Northeastern Derby.

Hougang Stadium holds 3,800 and remains the club's home, even though renovation work in 2023 sent them across the island to Jalan Besar and Bishan for a spell. It sits in the estate that gave the club its name long before any of the mergers, and it is where they returned once the building work was done.
