MWOS

Norton had a club playing in the lower divisions well before it had a name recognised on the national stage, and Moors World of Sport F.C. was assembled in 2019 to change that. It carries the nickname "The Punters" and settled at Ngoni Stadium, a ground that now holds 7,000 after renovation added to its original 5,000 capacity.

The breakthrough did not come through the league table but through a boardroom deal. Runners-up in the Northern Region Division One in 2024, MWOS was still short of the top flight when ZPC Hwange withdrew from the Premier Soccer League in January 2025, squeezed out by financial strain and by ownership rules that already had its sister club, ZPC Kariba, occupying a league place.

Behind that campaign stood a goalkeeper with senior international pedigree, Martin Mapisa, a product of the Aces Youth Soccer Academy who had already played for Dynamos and for Zimbabwe before joining. The rivalry that shaped the club's rise sat one division down: matches against Scottland Mabvuku in the Northern Region Division One were, by the accounts of those involved, bitter contests, fought without any of the ceremony of a named derby.

A Premier Soccer League runners-up finish arrived in the club's first season in the division.
