The Štark Arena holds more than 18,000 people for basketball, and it is where Partizan's biggest nights have unfolded ever since the club moved into the building.
The basketball section grew out of the Sports Association of the Central House of the Yugoslav Army in 1945, and its defining night came in 1992. With Yugoslavia under UN sanctions and the country at war, Partizan could not host games at home and played its European fixtures in Fuenlabrada, Spain instead. From there the team beat Montigalà Joventut in the EuroLeague final, the trophy decided by a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Aleksandar Đorđević. That season Partizan also took the Yugoslav League and Yugoslav Cup.
Regionally the record reads differently: eight ABA League titles, nine Serbian league championships and sixteen national cups, most recently doubling up on the ABA League and domestic title in 2025.
None of it means as much in Belgrade as the Eternal Derby against Crvena Zvezda, a rivalry running back to 1945 and a first meeting in 1946 that Partizan won 24–21. Vlade Divac, Nenad Krstić, Bogdan Bogdanović and Jan Veselý all came through before moving on to the NBA.
