Progrès Sakiet Eddaïer

Progrès Sportif de Sakiet Eddaïer takes its place in Ligue 1 this season for the first time in the club's history, after finishing top of Group B in the second division in 2025–2026. The title itself was decided against Espoir Sportif de Hammam Sousse, but promotion was only confirmed on the final matchday, when PSS beat Croissant Sportif de Redeyef 5–0.

That result capped a climb built almost entirely through the regional tiers. PSS took the Sfax regional league, Ligue IV, in 2014, and before that won Ligue V twice, in 2008 and 2011, the first of those shared with Club Ahly de Sfax. In the Tunisian Cup the club has gone no further than the round of 16, reached in 2023–2024. None of it hinted at a top-flight place until this year.

The club plays in blue at home and white away, and its ground in Sakiet Eddaïer holds 1,500 people.

Mongi Dalhoum once managed the side, in 1985, arriving with a name already made elsewhere: he had finished as the Tunisian league's top scorer and remains remembered at CS Sfaxien. It is a rare instance of the small club crossing paths with a genuine name of Tunisian football.
