About the player
Alex Rahm had started five Superettan matches for Örgryte IS in 2025 when a shoulder injury in June ended his season. In those five games he saved 86.2 per cent of the shots he faced and kept a clean sheet twice.
His route to Gothenburg began in England, at Reigate Priory FC, where he played from 2010 to 2012. He was born in Helsinki. After a short spell at Herrljunga SK in 2012, he joined the IF Elfsborg academy in 2013 and stayed until 2022.
Örgryte came into the picture in September 2022, when Rahm went there on loan under a cooperation agreement between the two clubs. The move became permanent on 1 January 2023, on a two-year contract. That spring he was loaned on to Alingsås IF, where he played six Superettan matches between April and December 2023. In April 2024 Örgryte announced that his contract had been extended to the end of 2026.
He has also been part of Sweden's youth set-up. In August 2020 he was selected for a training camp with the Sweden Under-17 side.
