Three seasons into MLS Next Pro, the Foxes are still looking for a footing. The 2026 campaign brought four wins, eight draws and ten defeats — 14th in the Eastern Conference — and a first-round exit from the US Open Cup.
High Point got the team because MLS Next Pro announced one, on 10 November 2022, and gave North Carolina a professional side of its own.
The badge carries a red fox, and the colours were chosen to read as landscape rather than as a kit: teal for the Blue Ridge mountains, green for the forests, yellow and orange for the sunsets, red for the clay in the ground.
The dugout has not stayed still. Donovan Ricketts followed and lasted until May 2026, when Jake Davis replaced him.
The name supporters know best belongs to a forward. Facundo Canete scored 11 in that first season and nine in the next.
