Gustavo Nonato Santana

Nonato Corinthians had him in their academy for six years before letting him go to São Caetano, where he made his professional debut in March 2016 and won the Campeonato Paulista Série A2 the following year. He then moved to Internacional, first on loan and then permanently, and it was Internacional who first sent him to Fluminense on loan in July 2021.

The path back to Rio took a detour through Bulgaria. In September 2022, with Fluminense unable to match a rival bid, Internacional sold him to Ludogorets Razgrad; the Rio club settled for a sell-on clause instead. At Ludogorets he won the league and cup double in his first season and scored on his Europa League debut against Roma. A loan to Santos followed in August 2023, and in January 2024 the São Paulo club made the move permanent, structuring the deal partly around the transfer of striker Rwan Seco.

Fluminense finally got him back on loan in July 2024, and in November 2025 they exercised their option to sign him outright. Along the way he had already won a Campeonato Carioca with the club during his first spell. At international level, Nonato was part of the Brazil squad that finished third at the 2019 South American U-20 Championship, though a senior cap has not followed.
