A2 Women (Greece) 2024/25

The A2 National Women's Basketball League (A2 Ethniki) operates as the second-tier professional competition for women's basketball in Greece. The Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) organises the league, which sits directly below the top-flight A1 Ethniki. It was established in 1997 alongside a restructuring of the higher division, with the inaugural 1997–98 season marking the start of its existence.

While the league historically utilised separate North and South groups to reduce travel costs, recent editions such as the 2024–25 campaign have adopted a single national table. The season structure centres on a round-robin regular season format. Success in this league is measured by promotion rather than domestic cups. The top two teams in the final standings secure automatic promotion to the A1 Ethniki without the need for additional playoff rounds. Conversely, the bottom teams face relegation to their respective regional Local Championships, which constitute the third tier of the pyramid.

Competitive history within the league shows a shared legacy among several clubs. GS Peristeri, Apollon Patras, AS Papagou Athens, and Sporting Athens BC are tied as the most successful entities, each holding three titles. In the most recent completed season, 2023–24, Panionios claimed the championship by defeating Iraklis Thessaloniki in the final. The league currently features a roster of participating teams including AEK Peristeriou Women, Agia Paraskevi Women, Anagennisi Women, Androgeas W, Anorthosis Volou Women, and Antaios W. Official information regarding the league and the governing body is available through the federation's website, basket.gr.
