A wild card carried Panthers Kavala into the A1 Women's Basketball League for the 2026-27 season: the Greek Cup A2 National Division, taken 52-46 against Kronos BC PLASIS in a final played on the club's own floor at the Alexandra Dimoglou arena.

The club started life in 2016 as a basketball academy, with the women's team the point of it from the outset, and the EnEarth/Energean group behind it. Promotion to the A2 National Division followed in 2020, and from there the strongest fixtures on the calendar became meetings with Anorthis Volou and Aris Thessaloniki, games the club itself describes as derbies of the top of the table rather than any local rivalry — Kavala has no city derby to speak of.

Afroditi Tsanta once played for the club and now runs it as Sports Director. Dragana Nikolić, a Serbian international who joined in February 2025, and Deja Kelly, of the Dallas Wings in the WNBA, brought in for the 2026-27 campaign.

Games are played at the Kalamitsa Indoor Sports Hall in the Kalamitsa district of Amygdaleonas, on the edge of Kavala, a venue named for Alexandra Dimoglou, a Greek Paralympic athlete — the same hall where the cup was lifted in March.
