Israel State Cup 2025/26

The Israeli Basketball State Cup holds the position of the second most important professional basketball competition in Israel, ranking below the top-tier Israeli Basketball Premier League (Ligat HaAl). Founded in 1955 by the Israel Basketball Association and concluding its inaugural season in 1956, the tournament operates as a distinct knockout cup rather than a league pyramid. It is not linked to promotion or relegation, a separation solidified during a major structural reform in the 2021–22 season when the format was restricted to the top eight teams from the first rotation of the Premier League. Second-division teams now compete in a separate Liga Leumit Cup.

The current structure is a single-elimination knockout. Quarter-finals feature seeds 1–4 playing against seeds 5–8 in single games. The semi-finals and final are held at neutral venues, typically alternating between the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv and the Peace Arena in Jerusalem. Maccabi Tel Aviv is the dominant force in the competition's history, holding the record with 47 titles as of the 2025–26 season. Hapoel Jerusalem is the second-most successful club with 8 titles. The current champion is Maccabi Tel Aviv, who defeated Hapoel Jerusalem 87–72 in the final. The competition is administered directly by the IBA via ibasketball.co.il.
