Hapoel Be'er Sheva

There was a stretch in the 1990s when Hapoel Be'er Sheva's basketball side simply did not exist. The team that had carried the name since 1965 folded, and it took until 2002 for the club to reappear, and even then it played under other names for a while — Municipal Be'er Sheva, then Hapoel Be'er Sheva/Bnei Shimon.

The Liga Artzit, the third tier, fell in 2014–15; the Liga Leumit, the second, followed in 2017–18, and with it a return to the top-flight Ligat HaAl.

In 2022–23 Be'er Sheva won the Balkan International Basketball League, beating KB Peja 99–95 in the final.

Home games are played in front of 3,000 at the Conch Arena, known locally as HaKonchiya.
