Pistons Fans Say Front Office Fell Short This Off-Season
An Athletic poll of 1,279 Detroit fans found 60.3% wanted more roster moves, with Trajan Langdon drawing most of the criticism ahead of the new season.
A poll by The Athletic has found that 60.3% of Detroit fans believe the club should have done more to strengthen the roster this off-season.
The survey drew 1,279 responses. Trajan Langdon, the Pistons' president of basketball operations, came in for the bulk of the criticism: 20.3% of respondents said the team had done enough, and 19.4% were undecided.
Fans were clearer on the pecking order behind Cade Cunningham. Ausar Thompson was named the team's second-most important player by 67.6% of those polled, with Jalen Duren picking up 27.9%.
Opinion split almost evenly on what Duren's next contract should be worth. 40.3% called 30-35 million dollars a season fair, 40% backed 35-40 million, and 5.8% would pay the centre more than 40 million a year.
