Crvena Zvezda Fans Warned by Euroleague After Zalgiris Game
Euroleague issued a final warning to Crvena Zvezda over fan misconduct against Zalgiris, threatening a closed-door match or fine if repeated.
Crvena Zvezda have received a final warning from the Euroleague over the conduct of their supporters at the opening-round home fixture against Zalgiris.
According to the league's report, fans used lasers, aimed abuse at players and match officials, lit flares and threw objects onto the court.
The Belgrade side were already under sanction from last season, when the Euroleague capped attendance at their arena at 80% of capacity over previous incidents.
The club has told its own supporters that a repeat could mean the next home match being played behind closed doors, or with capacity cut further, alongside a substantial fine.
