About the player
Lisa Boattin arrived at Houston Dash on a two-year contract after eight seasons at Juventus, a spell that left her with six Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia trophies and four Supercoppa Italiane wins. A left-footed left-back, she played for Graphistudio Pordenone, where she made 46 appearances, then moved on to Brescia and AGSM Verona ahead of her switch to Juventus in 2017.
Her single goal for Italy carries particular weight: in September 2021 she scored in a 2-0 win over Romania that sealed the national side's qualification for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. She has gone on to earn 70 caps, appearing at the 2019 World Cup, where Italy reached the quarter-finals, and at UEFA Women's Euro 2022.
At UEFA Women's Euro 2025, Boattin featured three times as Italy reached the semi-finals, their best finish in the competition since 1997. The move to Houston now takes her into the NWSL for the first time.
