About the player
Miljana Ivanović arrived at Houston Dash. She started out at SD Vojvodina in Serbia, then moved to Sweden to join IFK Kalmar, only for an ACL tear during preseason to wipe out her entire debut campaign there.
That form earned her a move to England in 2024, when London City Lionesses paid a club-record fee for LSK Kvinner to bring her into the Women's Championship. She scored only once in eight league games there, but the team went up to the WSL as champions. A year later she moved again, this time to Malmö FF in the Damallsvenskan, where she scored nine goals in 23 league matches before her transfer to Houston, itself a club-record sale for Malmö.
Internationally, Ivanović has become a regular presence for Serbia, scoring in qualifying campaigns for the Women's Euro and the World Cup, as well as braces against Greece in the Nations League and against Slovakia in Euro 2025 qualifying. She has also found the net against Kazakhstan and Belarus in competitive fixtures for her country.
While she has no individual NWSL honours to her name yet, she joins Houston having already tasted a league title with London City Lionesses.
