About the player
At Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, she won the KHSAA State Championship and was named USA Today High School Player of the Year. That reputation travelled with her to Xavier University, where across four seasons she started 85 games and chipped in nine goals from the back.
The Big East took notice. Bain was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year in both 2024 and 2025, was picked three times to the All-Big East First Team, and earned United Soccer Coaches All-American honours in three separate seasons. She helped Xavier to the Big East regular-season title in 2023 and the conference tournament crown in 2025, and her name appeared among the semifinalists for the 2024 MAC Hermann Trophy, college soccer's top individual prize. Alongside her university career she also turned out for Kings Hammer FC in the USL W League.
Her move into the professional game came without the usual transfer machinery: she signed directly from college with Houston Dash, first arriving as a non-roster invitee in January 2026 before putting pen to paper on a contract that April and making her professional debut that August. She received a first call-up to the United States U-23 squad in October 2025 followed by a development camp the following January.
