Antigua and Barbuda Falcons

The Falcons are back in the Caribbean Premier League this year, and the shape of the past two seasons gives some idea why 2026 matters: a fifth-place finish to open the franchise, then fourth and an Eliminator appearance in 2025.

The franchise was put together in January 2024 and unveiled that February as a straight replacement for the Jamaica Tallawahs. Kris Persaud, who had run the Tallawahs, carried Worldwide Sports Management Group's ownership across to the new side, and the move brought at least one familiar face with it — Brandon King switched from Jamaica's colours to Antigua's and was made captain.

The Falcons play out of Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, a ground that seats 10,000. Black, blue, red and yellow make up the team's colours, with no nickname beyond the one already in the name.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul took the head coaching job for that first season, with Curtly Ambrose alongside him as assistant.
