SRC Kolubara holds 1,700 people. The club that plays there now traces back to 1970, when it first took the name Kolubara, but it is not the same body it was then: in 2003 it was reorganised and re-emerged as KK Kolubara LA 2003, the "LA" simply short for Lazarevac. Green and white have stayed the club's colours through that change.
The climb since the reorganisation has been steady rather than sudden. Kolubara LA 2003 took the Central Division of the First Regional League twice, in 2012–13 and again in 2015–16, before going up a level again in 2018–19 with the Second League of Serbia title, which sent the club into the First League. That is where Kolubara LA 2003 now competes, in the Basketball League of Serbia, the country's top tier.
What the club has not collected is a national cup or a top-flight championship.
