OKK Beograd

Six national trophies in less than a decade tell the shape of OKK Beograd's history: between 1957 and 1965 the club won the Yugoslav League four times, in 1958, 1960, 1963 and 1964, and took the Yugoslav Basketball Cup in 1960 and 1962. That run carried them to the semi-finals of the Champions Cup in 1959.

The nickname Klonferi outlived most of the players who earned it, tied to the blue and white shirts and to a Real Madrid forward, Pedro Fernández, who marked the club's 1965 Champions Cup meeting with the Spanish side. Radivoj Korać spent thirteen years wearing that shirt, from 1954 to 1967, long enough to see the whole golden era through, and his name later went into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Belgrade basketball has its own hierarchy, and OKK Beograd sits outside the Partizan–Crvena zvezda axis that claims the Eternal derby. Its own derby, in the modern game, is a smaller, younger affair: matches against KK Dynamic, both clubs built now around developing youth players rather than chasing trophies.

The club has moved grounds more than once since returning to senior competition, from the Radivoj Korać Hall to Šumice, before settling at the Mega Factory Hall in 2018, sharing the facility with Mega Basket. Five hundred seats is a small home for a club that once reached a European semi-final, but it is the one Belgrade knows them by now.
