The club's only trophy came in the middle of that run, and under the third of those names. In 2004–05 Basket Groot Leuven won the Belgian Cup. The next season took the team into the FIBA EuroCup, where it finished fourth in group B. It also reached the Belgian Supercup final in 2005–06.
The Belgian league title has not followed. The club now plays in the BNXT League, which it joined in 2021, and hosts its games at Sportoase, a hall for 3,400 spectators.
In 2024–25, twenty years after the first win, the Bears were in the Belgian Cup final again. On social media the club goes by the hashtag #WEBEARS.
