UMMC won the Russian Premier League again in 2026. The Russian Cup went to them in 2025 as well.

Europe is where the club is missing. Its sixth EuroLeague Women title came in 2021. After the 2022 invasion of Ukraine it was suspended from European competition. Before that, the EuroLeague trophies had arrived in 2003, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2021. Those were the years when Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart, Brittney Griner and Candace Parker were all wearing orange in Yekaterinburg.

The club has retired five numbers. The best known is Yolanda Griffith's #33. The other four belong to Elena Pshikova (#4), Olga Korostelyova (#6), Lyudmila Shvetsova (#9) and Diana Gustilina (#12).

The orange and black came late. The team was set up in 1938 in what was then Sverdlovsk, under the name Zenit. In 2000 the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company took it over and it became UMMC Ekaterinburg. The first Russian title under the new name came in 2002.
