The closest the team has come was 2022, when it beat Batangas City Embassy Chill 2-1 for the South Division title and then lost out at the final hurdle, finishing runners-up nationally. That run belonged largely to Jaycee Marcelino, who took the 2022 MPBL MVP award and, with his twin brother Jayvee also on the roster, carried the team through the division playoffs.

The Sardines tag has stuck through three changes of name — Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines, then the Master Sardines, and since 2025 Zamboanga Sikat under Sikat Sports and Kat Chua. It survived the rebrand even as the colours did not: orange and blue replaced the old green and blue to match the new "Sikat" branding, sikat meaning sun or brightness in Filipino. Alongside the division title, the club picked up the 2023 MPBL Preseason Invitational, beating the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards 88-80, and a Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 President's Cup in its first season.

Home games are played in front of up to 12,000 at the Mayor Vitaliano D. Agan Coliseum in Zamboanga City.
