About the player
Aune Selland Heggebø made his name at his boyhood club, SK Brann. On at least one occasion he was named man of the match under the "Norsk Tipping Banens Beste" award and gave the prize money to IL Bjarg, the club where he started out as a boy.
International recognition followed soon after his transfer to England. Heggebø made his senior debut for Norway on 9 September 2025, coming on as a substitute in the closing seconds of a World Cup qualifier against Moldova that finished 1–1. He was capped again the following month in a friendly against New Zealand, which also ended 1–1.
