Adam Michael Reach

Adam Reach left Middlesbrough for Sheffield Wednesday in 2016 after Middlesbrough turned down a £2 million bid. The fee was not disclosed, though reports put it at around £5 million. It followed a youth spent learning the game in loan spells.

Reach came through the Middlesbrough academy and made his senior debut in 2011. Middlesbrough then sent him out to gain experience at Darlington, Shrewsbury Town, Bradford City and Preston North End. The spells at Shrewsbury and Bradford brought three goals each. At Preston he played 35 league games and scored four. For Middlesbrough itself he played 63 league games and scored six goals.

At Hillsborough he settled into regular football. He made 209 league appearances and scored 21 goals over five years, and left when his contract expired. In August 2021 he joined West Bromwich Albion on a free transfer and played 71 league games there. West Brom released him in May 2024. After eight months without a club he signed for Wycombe Wanderers.

His most recent chapter is at Lincoln City, whom he joined in September 2025. He was in the side that won the League One title in 2025–26 and took the club up to the Championship. In December 2025 his volley against Barnsley was nominated for the EFL League One Goal of the Month. For Lincoln he has played 39 league games and scored five goals.

Reach also played for England at youth level. He won four caps for the under-19s in 2011 and three for the under-20s two years later. He was part of the England squad at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
