About the player
Dominic Jefferies spent much of the 2025–26 season recovering from hip surgery, yet he was part of the Lincoln City squad that won the EFL League One title and promotion to the Championship. He returned in late 2025, after a 2024–25 campaign in which he made 43 appearances and scored three goals before going under the knife.
He came through the academy at Newport County and made his senior debut in the 2019–20 season in the EFL Trophy and the FA Cup. He did not play a league game for them. Non-league football came next: a one-month work experience loan at Salisbury in January 2020 brought three appearances and a goal before Newport recalled him. He signed permanently that July and played seven league games before the season was curtailed.
Brentford took him in June 2021 and placed him in their B team in Premier League 2. He made 42 appearances and scored eight goals in 2021–22, and won the club's Mary Halder Award. He did not play for the first team.
Gillingham signed him on a free transfer in June 2022. Across two seasons he made 56 league appearances and scored twice, and the club named him its Young Player of the Year for 2022–23.
Lincoln City signed him on 18 July 2024 on a two-year contract with an option for a further two years. The club activated that option in 2026, and he agreed a new two-year deal in August 2026.
In October 2025 he received a call-up to the Wales senior squad. He came on as a substitute in a 3–0 friendly defeat to England.
