About the player
Álex Valiño Between 2022 and 2024 he was at Arenas Club in Getxo, where he scored 17 goals in 46 league appearances, including 14 in the 2023–2024 campaign alone.
Valiño started out in the Athletic Bilbao youth system, coming through Santutxu and Indautxu before joining the club's ranks. He spent two seasons with Athletic Bilbao B, making 35 appearances without scoring, then moved on to Sodupe Unión Club and CD Tenerife B, where he added two goals in 34 games. Further spells followed at Club Haro Deportivo, Coruxo FC and Gernika Kluba, the last of which brought three goals in 20 matches.
After his breakout years at Arenas Club, Valiño signed for Atlético Sanluqueño CF for the 2024–2025 season, scoring twice in 18 matches, before joining Barakaldo CF in February 2025. Across two seasons there he made 49 league appearances and scored seven goals. He was released by Barakaldo and joined Dunav Ruse on a free transfer on 1 July 2026.
Valiño has represented Spain at youth level. Now at Dunav Ruse, wearing the number 9 shirt, he arrives in Bulgaria as a forward.
