About the player
Airidas Golambeckis made his senior debut for West Ham United in the second round of the Carabao Cup, starting at St Mary's Stadium against Southampton. He played the full 90 minutes and saw the game out as West Ham won 4–1.
The route to that night began close to home. Golambeckis started out at East Ham Rovers and at the West Ham United Foundation hub in Beckton. According to the club's official profile, he joined the West Ham United Academy at the age of five, so he has spent almost his whole football life in the same system.
The club has tied him to a long future. His first professional contract, signed on 4 November 2024, ran until 2029. On his 18th birthday, 4 November 2025, he signed a second professional contract, also until 2029.
His international path has run through two countries. Of Lithuanian descent, he represented Lithuania at under-16 level in 2023 and won two caps. He then switched to England. He played nine times for the England under-18s between 2024 and 2025 and scored once. From 2025 he has played for the England under-19s, with nine appearances so far and no goals. He has not yet played for the senior team of either country.
