Amin Kosić

KR Reykjavík paid a club-record fee to sign Amin Čosić from UMF Njarðvík during the 2025 season, and a year later he left for Norway. In July 2026 the forward joined Viking, signing a contract that runs to the end of 2030. The exact fee was not made public.

Čosić came through the youth system at HK Kópavogur and made his senior debut in September 2022, aged 16. He played once in the 1. deild karla before moving to Njarðvík in February 2024. It was there that he began to score regularly: in 2025 he netted six goals in 28 appearances in all competitions, and that return brought him to KR's attention.

At KR he scored five goals in 25 games in the Úrvalsdeild. Across his senior career he had reached 11 club goals by August 2026, and he had made two Eliteserien appearances for Viking without scoring.

Čosić was born in Fjarðabyggð and holds both Icelandic and Bosnian-Herzegovinian citizenship. He plays for Iceland. He made his debut for the Under-21 side on 30 March 2026, in a European Championship qualifier against France.

The move to Viking is his first outside Iceland.
