About the player
Andrey Vasiljev In his first season in Grodno he was on the pitch for 2,790 minutes, 96.88 per cent of the team's total time. He started all 29 league matches and both cup matches and was never substituted. He was named in the Symbolic Team of the Round that year, and InStat ranked him fifth among right-backs in the Belarusian Premier League.
He arrived in January 2020 as a free agent from Gomel, having come up through Rostov's academy in Russia. His first-team debut there came in 2012, and he made three Russian Premier League appearances. Rostov then sent him out on loan three times: to Dynamo Saint Petersburg, where he played 19 FNL matches; to Arsenal Tula, with 15 appearances in the Russian Premier League; and to Zenit-2 Saint Petersburg, where he played 26 FNL matches and scored once.
Vasiljev was born in Saint Petersburg and played for Russia at youth level: three caps for the U18s, six for the U19s and one for the U21s in 2013. He has not played for the senior national team.
Trophies came with Neman. He won the Belarusian Cup in the 2023/24 season. In January 2025 he moved to Kyzylzhar in Kazakhstan, again on a free transfer, and made 23 appearances and scored one goal there. He came back to Neman in January 2026 and won the Belarusian Super Cup with the club in 2026.
