About the player
Bil Nsongo scored twice away at Real Valladolid on 24 May 2026, sealing a 2-0 win that secured Deportivo de A Coruña's promotion to La Liga for the 2026/27 season.
Born in Yaoundé, Nsongo came through the ANAFOOT academy before making his senior debut with AS Lausanne de Yaoundé in the Cameroon Elite Two, scoring nine goals in twelve appearances during the 2021/22 season. He moved to Canon Yaoundé in the Elite One in early 2024, then left for Europe that August on a free transfer, signing a one-year deal with Deportivo de A Coruña.
He was assigned to Deportivo Fabril in the Segunda Federación, where he scored 17 goals in 50 appearances across two seasons, a run that drew interest from clubs in Turkey as well as Amiens SC and Enyimba FC. His first-team debut came as a substitute in a 2-0 Copa del Rey win over CE Sabadell on 4 December 2025, and he scored his first goal for the club in a 3-2 away win at Real Sociedad B on 1 March 2026. After the brace against Valladolid, he signed a new contract with Deportivo running to 30 June 2030.
With Cameroon's under-20 side, Nsongo won gold at the Jeux de la Francophonie in June 2023.
