About the player
Brayann Pereira was born in Saint-Quentin, joined RC Lens's youth system and made his first-team debut in 2021, before leaving as a free agent for AJ Auxerre in 2022. A loan to Football Bourg-en-Bresse Péronnas 01 in February 2023 kept him playing regularly through the rest of that season.
NEC exercised that option in March 2024, signing him permanently for a fee widely reported at around €1.5 million. His form earned him two spells in the Eredivisie Team of the Month, in November 2024 and May 2025. Across his time in Nijmegen, on loan and permanently, he made 73 league appearances and scored three goals.
He has represented France from under-16 to under-20 level, but he is eligible for the Republic of the Congo through his Angolan and Congolese background and has not yet won a senior cap for either country.
On 1 September 2026, Pereira left the Netherlands for West Bromwich Albion, in a transfer reported at around £1 million. By the move, he had reached 107 senior league appearances in his career.
