About the player
Berkay Doğan spent five years in the youth system of Red Bull Salzburg, from 2016 to 2021. Before that he had come through the academy at Reichenau. He is comfortable with either foot, and can also play at full-back.
Doğan holds Austrian and Turkish citizenship. He played for Austria at youth level: four matches for the U15s, five for the U16s and four for the U17s.
In 2021 he left Salzburg for the reserve side of FC St. Pauli, who play in the Regionalliga Nord. A year later, in September 2022, he moved to Turkey and signed with Eyüpspor of the 1. Lig. He did not play a senior match for them. The following season, he went on loan to Sarıyer SK in the TFF 2. Lig and made 15 appearances.
On 4 February 2025 he joined Polatlı 1926 SK in the TFF 3. Lig, where he played 22 matches. On 3 January 2026 he moved to Mardin 1969 Spor, now Mardin BB, from Polatlı 1926 on a free transfer.
