About the player
Erce Kardeşler captained Amed SK to the club's first promotion to the Süper Lig, at the end of the 2025–2026 season. He had arrived in February 2025 on a contract of two and a half years, after leaving Hatayspor by mutual consent the month before. In July 2026 he left Amed and signed a one-year deal with Mardin 1969 Spor.
Kardeşler, from Çanakkale, came through the youth system at Bursaspor and then at Oyak Renaultspor, also known as Yeşil Bursa. In 2013 he joined Altınordu and stayed six years, before Trabzonspor signed him in 2019.
At Trabzonspor he was second choice to Uğurcan Çakır. It did not leave him without a mark. In March 2020 coach Hüseyin Çimşir gave him a "full mark" for his performance against Fenerbahçe. He was in the squad that won the Turkish Cup in 2020–21.
In July 2022 he moved to Hatayspor, where he spent the next two and a half years.
Earlier still, Kardeşler played for Turkey at under-21 level. He was called up for European Championship qualifiers in 2016, against the Netherlands and Slovakia.
At Amed the goalkeeper's role went beyond the position itself. The club's first top-flight place came with him as captain.
