Uğur Adem Gezer

Two promotions with the same club frame the career of Uğur Adem Gezer. In his first season the club won the TFF 2. Lig Red Group and went up to the TFF 1. Lig. In 2025–26 Amedspor won the TFF 1. Lig and secured promotion to the Süper Lig, and Gezer was part of the squad through that period.

He started much earlier and much lower down the pyramid. The Istanbul-born defender went through the youth systems of Akşemsettin Parseller Spor, Beşiktaş and İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor. In 2012 he joined Eyüpspor, where his first professional season ended with the TFF 3. Lig title in 2012–13. The following season he was loaned to Ünyespor, then returned to Eyüpspor.

The years after that were spent moving through the Turkish lower leagues. He played for İstanbul Güngörenspor, then for Orhangazispor across three seasons, from 2015 to 2018. Sultanbeyli Belediyespor followed for two seasons, and after them came Edirnespor and Kırklarelispor. In 2022 he moved to Vanspor on a free transfer and stayed until May 2023, before the switch to Amedspor.

Gezer has not played for Turkey at any level, and no individual awards are attached to his name. His record is one of team honours: a third-tier title at the start, then a league title and promotion with Amedspor. In June 2026, again on a free transfer, he joined Mardin 1969 Spor, the club now known as Mardin BB.
