Brian Aguirre

Brian Aguirre came through the Newell's Old Boys academy in Rosario after starting out at Defensores de Villa Cassini, and it was at Newell's that he made his senior debut in April 2021. Over three seasons there he became a regular in the side, making close to seventy league appearances, though the goals — half a dozen or so — never came in great numbers and no silverware arrived with the club.

His move to Boca Juniors in July 2024 was the defining transfer of his career so far. At Boca he featured regularly without ever quite becoming a fixture, reaching the semi-finals of the Copa Argentina but falling short of a trophy, and his overall scoring return stayed modest.

In January 2026, with Boca still covering his wages, Aguirre moved to Estudiantes de La Plata on a season-long loan carrying an option to extend and a buy clause set at a similar five-million-dollar figure. He wasted little time making an impression, setting up a goal on his debut, and has since added to his appearance count for the club.

Internationally, Aguirre has represented Argentina at Under-20 level, playing at both the South American U-20 Championship and the U-20 World Cup in 2023, tournaments in which the national side reached the last 16 without going further.
