Corey Josiah Paul Blackett-Taylor

A late winner against Wycombe Wanderers was the goal Bolton Wanderers supporters later voted their Goal of the Season, and it came from a player who had been at the club only since January 2026. Corey Blackett-Taylor arrived from Derby on loan for the rest of the 2025–26 campaign. He scored twice and set up one more in six appearances.

A serious thigh injury ended his season in March. Bolton finished fifth in League One and won the play-offs to earn promotion to the Championship.

He began at Aston Villa, making his first-team debut in March 2017. The following season he won the Premier League Cup with the club's under-23s. Villa released him in June 2019, after a half-season loan at Walsall in which he made ten appearances.

He signed for Tranmere Rovers on a free transfer that month and stayed two years. He made 62 appearances there and scored three league goals.

The most productive stretch of his career came at Charlton Athletic. He joined in August 2021 on a short-term deal, and the club made it permanent that November. Over the next stretch of his time there he made 97 appearances and scored 20 goals, 18 of them in the league.

In January 2024 he moved to Derby County on loan from Charlton. Derby agreed a fee in July 2024 and the move became permanent. The Bolton loan came in the winter of 2026.
