Clemens Bisschoff

Clement Bischoff moved to RB Salzburg from Brøndby IF for around €4 million, signing a contract running to 2029. The transfer marked the biggest step yet in a rise that began in the Danish capital, where he came through Sundby Boldklub and the joint AC Academy of B1908 and Fremad Amager before joining Brøndby's academy in January 2022.

At Brøndby, Bischoff established himself in the first team between 2023 and 2025, making 40 league appearances and scoring three goals as an attacking midfielder capable of playing on the wing. That output was enough to convince Salzburg to back him with a fee well above what a squad player commands, and the Austrian club handed him the number 7 shirt.

His stay in Salzburg proved short. In July 2026 he was loaned out to Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen for the season, with an option to buy included in the deal — a move that will determine whether his long-term future lies in Austria or the Netherlands.

A right-footed player, Bischoff represents Denmark internationally. His progress from Copenhagen's amateur clubs to a major European academy system and on to a club of Salzburg's stature came within the space of a few years, and the Nijmegen loan now offers him regular football in a competitive league as he looks to build on the platform Brøndby gave him.
