About the player
Winger Daniel Armstrong made his name in Scottish football before moving abroad. Born in Taunton, he came through the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy and made his senior breakthrough there in 2015, before a loan at Dunfermline Athletic in 2018.
Armstrong signed for Raith Rovers later that year and won the Scottish League One and the Scottish Challenge Cup in the 2019–20 season. A brief spell at Ross County brought a Scottish Championship medal and a goal in the Challenge Cup semi-final against East Fife, before he returned to Raith Rovers in October 2019.
He joined Kilmarnock on a free transfer in July 2021. Over four years he made 158 appearances in all competitions, scored 26 goals and helped the club win the Scottish Championship in 2021–22. His form in 2022–23 earned him a place in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Season.
In July 2025, Armstrong left Scotland for the first time as a senior professional, joining Dinamo București on a free transfer. He has passed 50 appearances for the club and reached double figures for goals.
