David Davidyan

Davidyan's career has been built on winning something wherever he lands. He broke through at Ararat-Armenia in the 2018/19 season, helping the club to the Armenian Premier League title in its very first campaign — as he repeated the trick two years later with Alashkert's 2020/21 championship.

A brief return to Russia with Khimki gave way to a loan spell at Pyunik Yerevan in 2022/23 that he made permanent the following June. That move paid off quickly: Pyunik won the Armenian Premier League in 2023/24, and Davidyan became a regular fixture in the club's run through Champions League and Conference League qualifying, making 23 appearances in continental competition and setting up two goals along the way.

His form at Pyunik also opened the door to the Armenia national team, for whom he made his debut during his time at the club. He has since been capped in Nations League fixtures and in World Cup qualifiers against Hungary and Ireland.

Born in Nizhny Novgorod and holding both Armenian and Russian citizenship, the right-footed midfielder started out in the youth ranks at Olimpiyets before senior spells at Nosta Novotroitsk and Ararat Moscow set him on the path to Armenia. In July 2025 he left Pyunik on a free transfer for Rotor Volgograd in Russia's First League, where he scored five goals in 27 matches across the 2025/26 season.
