Nikita Karmaev

Nikita Karmaev's first-team debut came in the Russian Premier League on 27 September 2020, when Akhmat Grozny sent him on in the 83rd minute against Ural. The appearance was brief.

The route there began at the FC Krasnodar academy. In 2017 he played for the youth side of Afips, which won the Krasnodar Krai championship for boys born in 2000–2001, and he was named Best Defender of the final stage. A year later he moved to the Akhmat youth system.

Chances with Akhmat stayed rare. Across three years he made seven appearances for the senior side: five in the league, one in the Russian Cup and one friendly. He did not score. To find regular football he was loaned out twice, to Kuban Krasnodar for the 2021–22 season and to Rotor Volgograd for 2022–23.

June 2021 brought a call to the Russia Under-21 squad. He played in a 1–0 win over Bulgaria on 3 June and in a 0–0 draw with Serbia three days later. He has not played for the senior national team.

In July 2023 Karmaev left Akhmat as a free agent and joined Chayka Peschanokopskoe. On 25 June 2025 Arsenal Tula announced they had signed him on a free transfer, on a one-year contract running to 30 June 2026. At 191 cm, right-footed, he is a centre of the defence.
