Dénes Dibusz

Dénes Dibusz made his senior debut in 2008 with Pécsi MFC, the club where he came through the youth academy, and spent six seasons there, making 99 league appearances alongside a loan spell at Barcs. In January 2014 he moved to Ferencvárosi TC for a reported fee of €65,000, making his competitive debut for the club against Haladás in the League Cup that February. He has since become Ferencváros captain and first-choice goalkeeper, a status underlined when he extended his contract until 2027 in November 2022.

At Ferencváros he has built a decorated career in Hungarian football, with eight Nemzeti Bajnokság I titles, four Magyar Kupa triumphs, a Hungarian League Cup and a Hungarian Super Cup to his name. By late 2025 he had made more than 320 league appearances for the club. In September 2023 he was named Nemzeti Bajnokság I Save of the Month.

Dibusz made his international debut for Hungary on 14 October 2014, in a 1–0 win over the Faroe Islands in UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying, and has gone on to win 47 caps. His career has not been without setbacks: in February 2020 he suffered a serious head injury after being accidentally kicked by MOL Fehérvár defender Zoran Stupić, and a groin injury in October 2025 kept him out of World Cup qualifiers against Armenia and Portugal, following an earlier absence from a Europa League tie against AZ Alkmaar in January 2025 through a national team injury. Off the back of a clean disciplinary record, he has remained a fixture between the posts for both club and country.
